Third Week of My OJT

            After three weeks of duty in Philippine Statistics Office, I realized how hard to be an employee is. I realized what might be my future job someday if I’ll be applying work. I realized that it is better to work in an office than working direct under the sun, just like what farmers and carpenters feels.

            Working in PSA office, I knew about the meaning of Cenomar, about what will be the purpose of that particular document. I only know all about it at the moment when I was assign to release those documents to clients. I enjoy working on PSA and I love to be part of it as one of their employee someday. We encodes a lot of NSO documents and store it to their database. The week started from November 28, 2016 up to December 2, 2016.

Second Week of My OJT

            The second week(November 21-25, 2016) of our OJT was a great achievement. Compare to last week, we knew better about what to do even though we don’t have yet the official rotational tasks scheduling given by ma’am Penuela, the manager of PSA(Philippine Statistics Authority).

            A day in releasing area; a day for encoding NSO documents; a day for tallying data’s; a day for receiving NSO’s from Manila and Gen. Santos City to Kidapawan PSA office, sorting and arranging it and put it in its respective places; and a lot of tasks they shared to us. I used the term shared because I considered it as our wisdom, a wisdom that they are sharing. We trained well, but we are aiming to make it better, and better until it makes very good. In general, we learned a lot in the second week of our On-Job-Training.

First week of OJT

            The day is full of excitement, because it is the first day of our On-Job-Training. We have a lot of insights in our mind of what might be the outcome of the day after.

            First task, Jorge and I assign in the releasing of NSO’s such as birth, marriage and death certificates; we filed and sort all of it in an alphabetical order and placed it in its respective places; we also encodes NSO certificates. Furthermore, we’ve been also assign to double check the encoded certificates in the computer technology and save it directly to their server.

            The day has a bundle of work but we learned to be hardworking and have more patience. But before all of these happen, we have had orientation first in order for us to know the flow of each tasks.

            Another busy day! We did a lot of paper works such as segregating the old and new unclaimed NSO’s. In afternoon, we helped to encode some birth certificates and marriage certificates. In general it’s quite good than yesterday’s tasks.

November 17, 2016

            Whole day of facing computer helped us to enhance our profession. It makes us more literate in doing computer tasks. Even a small task given by our trainee supervisor, it means a lot to gain knowledge.

November 18, 2016

            Last day of the 1^st week of OJT. In whole week of doing office work, we trained well. We don’t expect of what we had experienced during duty time. A good socialization to other people means a lot for us. Cause it is very useful in our future life especially when we will find job someday. Socialization is required for a good communication. During OJT time, it’s not only computer field we are learning for, but also attitude of a good person.
